Q: regardless of the application the cursor jumps to different location

First time this happened was while doing a PowerPoint presentation (for Mac 2011, 14.3.9).

While doing so the cursor jumped somewhere else. The Beamer then showed my Desktop instead of the presentation.

I do not opened PP and am working in Apple Mail. While Typing the cursor jumps somewhere else and the text can't be continued before I jump back.

this happens even while typing this text.

What can I do?

I have problems to figure out why this happens.

Does anyone have the same problem?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2), 8GB

it cannot be a trackpad problem. Am writing with a bluetooth keyboard and I am far away from keyboard or mouse or trackpad while doing a presentation.

Happens if I am using cursor files sliding through my photos in iPhoto as well.

happens EVERWHERE!

Check this list of possible causes: Trackpad or Magic Trackpad is jumpy or erratic

disabled trackpad.
after that Jitouch and it does still not work.
I try starting in save mode - but this won't help much.
Everything was working so good and suddenly this error appears…

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

thanks. I'll try this.

Even if this means much work it is the only way to get the problem fixed.

Or waiting if the some future update will do it itself.…
