A secure link to ITunes failed. I just ran a diagnostics on my computer and this is a result. I followed the instructions to allow my Windows Firewall to allow the communication, but received the same result upon running the diagnostic again. I am running Windows 7 and just updated to ver 11.3. I am connected to the internet as shown by my ability to connect to this web page. So, what gives?

It sounds like you have configured your firewall to allow iTunes access to the internet but you still cannot connect to it. You can use the following article to help troubleshoot the issue, named:

i have windows 8 and its saying secure link to itunes failed...ive read all the answers from different forums but none say how to fix it on windows 8
There are two reasons you will get that red light in diagnostics. (1) iTunes is not enabled in the Windows Firewall. (2) iTunes cannot connect to https://www.apple.com. Can you connect to https://www.apple.com using a browser?
yes I can connect to apple.com using a browser and my iTunes is enabled in my firewall
Hmmm. And which browser would that be? Is this IE or another browser?
I have internet explorer and google chrome and apple.com will load in both browsers
Not just apple.com, but https://www.apple.com.
