Logic pro x greyed out but regions not obviously muted

Hey all,

This is driving me a little nuts. Was working on something this morning then after recording a take all of my other tracks are greyed out and wont play.

I've searched the forums, and the general opinion is that this is caused by region muting. But having checked in all the regions the mute button was off. Trying the CTRL + M mute on tracks would change the mute selection on and off, but it would not rid myself of the greyed out areas.

Really need some help on this asap, getting really frustrated and can't keep working! (sorry, I know we all know this feeling, but we all still need to vent somewhere sometimes!

I've included a screen shot. You can see the last two tracks (one midi one audio) are still working, the rest are all greyed out...

Thanks - for the reminder. This happens to me all the time. Logic has tons of bugs. I wish they would fix them, or at least listen to their customers....

So I just quit out, and re opened the project, and lo and behold everything is unmuted again.

This still isn't making sense to me, and would like to know if anyone can see anything wrong? Logic Pro X does not seem to be conducive to my work flow, to many odd bugs keep re-occurring.

Things to try....

1/ try hitting just m (region mute)

2/ make sure the track is not off. (option+M) enables the track if it is off

3/ make sure a track at the top is not solo'd

can you post of screen shot starting at track 1

Just find the only track that isnt muted, delete that track, or the group that the track is in, delete another random group or track, press command z until you get back to normal (before you deleted the tracks) and it should be working.

I had this same problem. When I imported garage band iOS project into logic, it wouldn't let me add new voice tracks. I experimented a bit and found that the tracks have been turned off by default. I turned them on. (alt/option + m). Hope this helps.
