ipod wont turn on after overheated what should i do

i pod 5 wont turn on when it was overheated when i powered it off what should i do?

iPod touch, iOS 7.1.2, i pod touch 5th generation

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. The hotness points to a hardware problem
