Hi,

I was wondering if there is a way to just have the uploaded status instead of the matched one. I have many songs that have certain volume level, but when those songs are going to matched, many of them lost that volume level because iTunes have them in a lower level. I try to change certain things in some songs and I found the way to put it as a uploaded instead of matched, but there are to many. There is a easy way to keep them as uploaded? I don't want matched status, specially with songs from the 60s' 70s, 80s, and some from the 90s. Many of those songs are in a lower volume level once there are matched. I want to keep the itunes subscription.

Thanks

I am having the same problem.

Background: most of my (rather large) ITunes library is made up of music I purchase outside the iTunes Store. After adding music to the iTunes library, I run Match so I can access that music via my Apple TV and iPhone.

I usually run Match successfully from my iTunes library to match the new songs, but starting yesterday (June 25) Match stalls. Last night it scanned all songs to match but one, and stalled at that one song for hours before I gave up. This morning (June 26) it has stalled waiting for apple to send results for an hour.

Any suggestions? Also, I am assuming that a song which is in the iTunes Store will match to the same song in my iTunes library even if the song was purchased elsewhere. Is that correct?

I just started having this issue on Sunday 7-27-14. I've successfully Updated my iTunes Match with several new albums over the last several days and then all of a sudden yesterday iTunes Match is stuck on Step 2: Matching your music with songs in the ITunes Store. All of my music and my main iTunes library are on my iMac desktop. Although I don't think this matters the music I'm having the issue with is the Arctic Monkeys - Favourite Worst Nightmare. It has 12 songs. One song, #3, D is for Dangerous matched and is in my library. It can be accessed/downloaded from my other devices running my iTunes Match. (iPhone 5 and Macbook Air). The other 11 songs are stuck in the Waiting iCloud Status when viewing them in my songs list on the iMac. What is weird is that the other 11 songs do show on my iPhone and Macbook but they can not be played/downloaded. They are there but are faded out with no download symbol next to them (except for #3). See photos. In the middle photo you will see that 9544 of 9555 songs have been checked. It is the 11 songs from the Arctic Monkeys album that are hung up and stuck. ??????????

Additional update: Before posting this I deleted all 12 songs from my library and from iCloud, then Updated iTunes Match successfully (there were no changes) and then added the 12 songs back into my library. When I Updated iTunes Match again it gets hung up on the 11 songs. #3 was a success again.

OK, I got my iTunes Match to work!

In the past I had found some information on a forum somewhere that many problems with iTunes Match may be linked to ISP issues and not necessarily Apple issues. I believe that when iTunes Match gets bogged down with heavy traffic sometimes Apple "times out" the uploads believing that their is an issue with the ISP. Apparently this only happens during times of heavy use.

Anyway, as background my Time Warner Cable (TWC) Turbo service averages around 15-16 Mbps download speeds and 1 Mbps uploads speeds. My iPhone 5 on AT&T's LTE network averages around 40 Mbps download speed and 10 Mbps upload. (When I'm not linked to my home WiFi).

What I did was disconnect my TWC router and used the Personal Hotspot on my iPhone to provide internet service to my desktop. I then ran iTunes Match and it worked perfectly. It was extremely fast and did not get hung up on Step 2 of the Match process.

Voila!
