my phone was destroyed is there a way of recovering my pictures and contacts

I had a IPhone 4 that was destroyed iOS 6.0.3.

iPhone 4, iOS 6.0.1, My phone was destroyed

If you have a backup (iCloud or iTunes), you could restore your pictures and contacts to a new IPhone.
