How do I edit my home sync settings?

I got my Macbook pro (running 10.9.4) as part of my leaving package from work and I think there are a few left over settings that I need to clear up.

How do I edit my Home Sync setting locally?

I have admin rights on the machine but can't seem to switch it off in mobile settings....

Now I have upgraded to 10.9.4 it is even more irritating as it asks to unlock the keychain every time I log in.

Please help.

Thanks

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4)

It looks like your company's system admin forgot to remove you from the company server or forgot to change your profile on the server because you're still setup as a Network Mobile Account.

The following steps might work for you to convert a mobile account to a local account. You will need to add another Admin account and log into it before the following steps.

  1. Backup you MBP.
  2. Log in to a different Admin account
  3. Delete the mobile user from the local machine (do not delete the user's home folder) in System Preferences/Users&Groups. The result should be something like username (Deleted). Check the /Users folder to be sure this happened.
  4. Rename the mobile user's home folder to the original short name (from username (Deleted) to username)
  5. Add a new user (admin account) with the original short name. You should see an option to select to use the existing home folder. All permissions should update automatically.

Also, check System Preferences for a Profiles entry. If there is one, you will want to delete all the entries inside as they pertain to your company's profile configurations. This 'might' be all you need to do instead of the above 5 steps.
