Jul 23, 2014 8:30 AM in response to Eric Rootby MikeBurgess,Hi Eric - yes I did this - I have never seen this utility before. Alas - the next time I booted up I still had this keychain error regarding Home Sync.
So I think I will have to try and find a way to switch Home Sync off. Any advice much appreciated.

Jul 23, 2014 8:51 AM in response to MikeBurgessby Linc Davis,I was referring to the help for the login options, not for Home Sync. Are you bound to a Network Account Server, as shown in the login options?

Jul 23, 2014 9:26 AM in response to Linc Davisby MikeBurgess,I get this every time I log in:
I assumed that i was still attached to the mobile account of my previous employer (whose IT dept/network admin I no longer have access to ).
But I cannot edit my mobile account syncing - despite being admin on this mac:
And it doesn't even look like I am attached to a network server:
Flumoxxed. Thanks for helping.

Jul 23, 2014 9:50 AM in response to MikeBurgessby keg55,It looks like your company's system admin forgot to remove you from the company server or forgot to change your profile on the server because you're still setup as a Network Mobile Account.
The following steps might work for you to convert a mobile account to a local account. You will need to add another Admin account and log into it before the following steps.
- Backup you MBP.
- Log in to a different Admin account
- Delete the mobile user from the local machine (do not delete the user's home folder) in System Preferences/Users&Groups. The result should be something like username (Deleted). Check the /Users folder to be sure this happened.
- Rename the mobile user's home folder to the original short name (from username (Deleted) to username)
- Add a new user (admin account) with the original short name. You should see an option to select to use the existing home folder. All permissions should update automatically.
Also, check System Preferences for a Profiles entry. If there is one, you will want to delete all the entries inside as they pertain to your company's profile configurations. This 'might' be all you need to do instead of the above 5 steps.
