You've posted in iTunes for Windows but your profile suggests a Mac. Which is it?
If it is Windows advice you are after see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates, otherwise I can ask the hosts to move this thread to iTunes for Mac where it should get more suitable attention.
