Does restoring from backup re-install apps as if you are downloading the apps?

HI.

There's something that happened (which I won't mention it here) I want to restore my iPad from a backup. But I have a limit of internet and I have a lot of apps. so when i restore from backup, does it re-install the apps as if I am downloading it again? Because it will use all my bandwidth if it does. Please help🙂

What Kappy is saying is true as long as you are restoring from an iTunes backup. If you are restoring from an iCloud backup, then yes indeed the apps are downloaded again from iCloud and it could suck down a good deal of your bandwidth.

When you restore from an iCloud backup, you have to erase the device and start all over again with activating the device and downloading all content again.
