After changing hard drive the fan runs continuously
My iMac got a new hard drive about 3 years ago, and the fan ran non-stop. A technician installed a fan-speed control program that allowed me to stop the fan every time I turned on the machine. Crude but effective.
Recently, I upgraded the OS to Snow Leopard with a clean install... so, no more fan control, and the fan just runs continuously... and loudly! I've tried about 4 different downloads to control the speed, and NONE of them works! What can I do?
Help-- this noise is driving me bonkers!
