AC plug vs. AC power cord

At home should I use the AC power cord (three prong plug with ground) to plug into my surge protector or is it ok to just use the AC plug (plug with power adapter)? I don't need the extended reach, but I was wondering if it was better for the computer to use the plug with the ground on it....

Thoughts?

Well, I am sure the regular adapter is fine, but I like taking the 3-prong and keeping it in a surge protector. I pop the power cord onto that when I am at home. When I leave, I pop the folding travel plug back on and put the cord/plug in the bag with the computer. I leave the 3-prong at home. The battery life is pretty good, so I don't have to charge it away from home much anyway.

I really don't need the extra reach either, but for the daily charging I like the 3-prong in a surge protector. Its really no extra trouble and provides some measure of extra protective advantage.
