Oct 20, 2014 1:16 AM in response to pham Chopraby Mjame78,If you are using Yosemite, ensure you aren't using an iCloud password. Go to system preferences > users & groups > change password and if should come up with a list of options, tick 'use separate password' then change your password. Once you have done this you can turn the automatic login on or off. -Mel

Oct 20, 2014 2:20 AM in response to Mjame78by dang314,If you are on Yosemite filevault is an option to turn on during setup.
Automatic login being off is correct.
However in the security and privacy pane there should be an option to disable automatic login that seems to be missing.
I would look into that if I were you. Not saying theres a problem maybe it wont be there if auto login is turned off altogether, or if filevault is on. but definitely something i would check out.

I notice we can change the password back to the iCloud one, but I assume we have to repeat the procedure for any subsequent changes.
Does this apply to any other System Preference/Administrator-level changes?
