Q: Can't discover Bluetooth devices

I cannot find any discovered or discoverable, no Bluetooth devices available upon scan.

I've reset PRAM and SMC. Deleted every Bluetooth plist I could find.

Any suggestions?

Open System Preferences > Bluetooth then make sure Bluetooth is turned on.

Hi Carolyn, this is the sys prefs pane:
Trying to add a wireless keyboard and mouse [both Apple], have tried different keyboards and mice to no avail. There are other BT devices near by that should be showing up in the Devices window but as you can see, they don't.
