Dell 4K UP2414Q and Yosemite
Hi there,
I'm hoping that a a developer could confirm that Yosemite beta supports the Dell UP2414Q 4K monitor at 60Hz at scaled resolutions.
Thanks!

You can find out for yourself in a few hours.
That's exactly why I'm asking ... don't think I want to load Yosemite beta if it's known that the Dell monitor is not supported.
I have a rMBP late 2013 with GT750M and just installed yosemite beta. I'm fairly certain the latest Mavericks supported UP2414Q, but i can confirm Yosemite does too. Works great with mDP to DP cable.
I've only tested the full sized displayport, as I don't have mDP to mDP cable. I don't think the mDP port on the dell can support 4k 60hz unfortunately.
Reporting that Yosemite Beta is a knockout with the Dell UP2414Q 4K monitor. Runs at 60Hz using mDP to DP. Whole system seems much faster than Mavericks regarding this monitor.
Excellent news! I have one follow-up question. Can the monitor do portrait 60Hz in Yosemite? Mavericks cannot do this. Just check if the "Rotation" option is available when running in 60Hz.
Thanks!
Does anyone know if it works with an earlier model of retina MBPs 15" that has a discrete GPU, such as mid-2012?
the 15" rMBP w/NVidia does support 60hz.
the 13" rMBP w/Iris does NOT. This is a regression from the later releases of Mavericks which DID have 60hz support.
What About 13" New Macbook Pro Latest one, still Iris at 30Hz even for a single 4K UP2414Q?
I have Retina MBP 13" Early 2015, and have dell up2414q 4k monitor, i couldn't get it connected by the mini DP to regular DP cable which came with the dell monitor. When connected the dell monitor does not show anything at all, on the mac side cursor starts acting weirdly and you cannot point anywhere with it. For this reason i ordered mini dp to mini dp cable and i will check with that. any one with a similar problem and solution?
