Maybe
iTunes: "-50" alert when syncing your iOS device to iTunes 10.3
I get this error too and that's on Apples latest iPhone 6 running iOS 8.1 and iTunes 12.0.1.26, which I believe is the latest. So there is no upgrade to iTunes... What is this error about and how can it be fixed?
