Changing increments of time

I'm trying to use Numbers to set up a visual schedule and want to display the times in 5 minute increments down the left-most column. If I drag the first cell down, it automatically adds one full hour (8:00, 9:00, etc.)-- is there a way to adjust this for different increments of time? I've had no luck with my own attempts...

Danielle:

I know Jeffrey has already answered your question, but I will offer a slightly different approach. This is what I do in my prescription record spreadsheet. Format column A as date and time with no date and time as 19:08. Enter 8:00 in cell A1, then in cell A2 enter =A1+duration . When you type duration press the enter key and the formula structure will appear. Click on minutes and type 5 and enter and cell A2 will display 8:05. Fill this formula down to the last row. The difference in this approach and the one offered by Jeffrey is when you add more rows at the bottom of the table, the duration formula will copy itself to the new row and the time interval will continue with no further "dragging" on your part.
