PNY 32 GB Memory Key won't mount

Hiya.

Was backing photos up to my PNY 32GB flash drive and it unexpectedly stopped uploading. Finished the transfer via Image Capture then went to verify and it said unable to mount the drive.

Now none of the UBS ports recognize my flash drive… Help?

Need to get the data off of the drive as its was in the midst of transferring to my desktop and is the only copy of data.

Some additional information.

This is a brand new PNY flash key… Only used it this week to get data from phone and laptop to take on trip as back up since tech is changing.

Upon inserting into the USB it says the drive is unrecognized and to initialize, ignore or eject.

In disk utility the drive is visible even though it won't 'mount' when inserted into the UBS ports. However, it says the volume is twice the size (64GB) and there are no options to verify or repair permissions.

The drive has been properly ejected upon each use and contains files which need to be recovered if possible.

Cheers.
