Bluetooth Headphones Playing Mono Audio?!

Hi,

I have been using my iBall BT02 Bluetooth headphones with my MacBook Pro 13. From last night suddenly it started delivering mono (single channel) audio. I tried changing the audio preferences even checked the accessibility options but no luck. FYI, the headphone is working fine with my iPhone 4S so its clear that the headphones are not faulty.

Lemme know if you guys have idea why its happening or how to fix it.

i found that my microphone for the system had been set to my bluetooth headphones instead of the internal microphone

in System Preferences -> Sound -> Input

Once I changed it back to system, my headphones started acting normal again

I still seem to be experiencing this. In your case, did you actually here sound through 1 earpiece only? My problem more precisely is that I do get sound over 2 earpieces, but its just a mono-signal through both. The headphone works fine under android and IOS

Same here. I have tried (and returned to Amazon) at least 10 different Bluetooth headsets (with mic input)

Whenever I select the headset as the Mic input, the audio output from the Mac goes to crappy, tinny monaural.

When I reset the system INPUT to the iMac internal Mic, then great quality stereo audio is restored to the headset.

Sounds like a bug to me; "Monaurual mic forces Monaraul output?"

Perfect! Thought I was going crazy last couple of days, trying preferences and then reloading ITunes and all my songs...wish I'd just checked here sooner. This worked immediately with my SkullCandy bluetooth headphones.
