How can I get music off broken ipod

So I've had my ipod touch for 2yrs now. The screen is completely massacard. I have way too many songs on it to just give up. It has a lock on it and my bestfriend sold her laptop that my ipod was synced too. However I still have my old laptop that I used when I first got my ipod I just need to get a charger for it. Will I still be able to access my ipod from my old laptop, or am I **** out of luck?

OR Is there any other way around it?

- Contact a data recovery company is best but but likely not worth it.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

For how to restore:

iTunes: Restoring iOS software

Then see if any of these programs can recovery any info from the restored iPod. The scree-lock is a goo security feature
