embedding postscript-outlined OTF

Hi,

I am working in iBooks Author 2.1.3, but the problems discussed below occurred while working 2.1.1, after font embedding problems were supposedly fixed.

This page states that OpenType (.otf) fonts are supported for embedding:

iBooks Author: Using custom fonts in your book

However, I had trouble late last year with italics sometimes showing up and sometimes not. Sometimes working in landscape, but not portrait orientation of the same ebook. My iBooks Author contact at Apple stated that it was due to the fact that the fonts were "postscript." But they were actually postscript-outlined OpenType (.otf) fonts.

Has anyone else had the same trouble? Or have more information about this? I would really like to use postscript-outlined OTF in a couple of Multi-Touch iBooks I'm working on now, but need to confirm that the previous problems with them were fixed.

Thanks.
