Other than that, there is no way to triple click the home button to pass the lock screen. Triple clicking the home button will bring up Accessibility features like "Voice over", "Zoom" or inverted colors.

iPhone 5S? Do you have TouchID enabled? That's what it sounds like to me. See what happens if you have someone else try triple tapping the Home button.
