Kernel errors are of different kinds. Some come up as four language screens telling you to restart. Some just crash an individual application, and give you a logfile. The latter are more easily isolated with a software called Etresoft. The former, often have to do with RAM, or compatibility of the hardware with the operating system, or a directory issue with the hard drive which should only be repaired once you know you have a good backup.

Do not use any Norton tools, or MacKeeper, or Cleanmymac tools.

Thanks a Brody

it not about the driver,, its about the connection, when i use my other sound card which only needs firewire connection its working fine but when i plug the other sound card which using external power AC and connection it through firewire its show me that the computer will be restarted and then some kernal error.

Thank You

hi abrody,, thank for replying

yes i got this 4 languages screen that tells me that the system will be rebooted,, after that i got some kernal information and error,, as my researches i found out that when i plug something with external power hardware with fireware which is in this case my sound interface MBOX Pro it gives me all these.

what shall we do if now days all the sound interfaces coming with firewire plus external power.

Thank you
