Long story short someone is receiving anonymous text messages from someone who is impersonating me, I am wondering if there is anything I can tell the person, who is receiving these texts, to find out who is sending them or where they are coming from? Hopefully someone can help me
The person sending these messages is probably some no life sitting in front of their screen with a soda bottle. Your iPhone is safe. Unless you have jailbreak. Malicious software can cause this. Other than that theres really nothing you can do. You can try calling your carrier or contacting authority. Identity theft is not something you want to leave around. Good luck!
In what way are the text "anonymous"? Are they coming from a number with the caller ID blocked? If so, short of hiring a lawyer and getting a subpoena (assuming there are grounds), no, probably not. Suggest the person receiving the messages contact their carrier for further assistance.
