OS Update on 2007 MacBook 3,1

What's the latest os can I use on my 2007 MacBook 3,1? I have all my devices syncing to the cloud but my old MacBook don't have that feature. I'm running on Snow Leopard, can I jump straight to Mountain Lion?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Update: Thank you for the info. I've ordered Lion now.

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Your computer cant be upgraded past 10.7.5. Click here and order a download code for it.

Back up your data and check your applications for compatibility before upgrading. In particular, Mac OS X 10.7 and newer don't support PowerPC programs such as versions of Microsoft Office prior to 2008.
