Q: iCloud on iOS devises not working

Hi All

I had my apple id email account hacked and noticed some unusual purchases on my credit card from iTunes. I have changed the apple id and password on my iMac but now iCloud is not working on my iPhones, iPads and apple TV. I have just read that I needed to sign out of iCloud on each device first but now I can't sign out as the password to the original account or the new account details are not working.

I am at a loss as to what to do. My iMac works fine but there is no server access from any of my other devices.

Please help!

iPhone 5s, iOS 7.1.2, other apple devices

    Hello bokstar101

For situations like that, you would need to change the Apple ID back to the original one and then sign out of everything. Once that is done change it back. Also that should only pertain to anything that is iOS with Activation lock, the Apple TV should not give you any issues with signing out.

    Change your Apple ID temporarily

If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't help, try these steps:

    • Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
    • Go to Settings > iCloud. Complete these steps only if the Find My [Device] setting is turned on:
      1. Scroll down and tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.
      2. Tap “Keep on My [Device]” or “Delete from My [Device].” In either case, your data remains in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.
      3. Enter the password for your previous Apple ID.
    • Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
    • Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.
