Hi,
I've set all notifications for mail to be off under System Preferences > Notifications. As of right now I have Mail showing under "not in notification center" yet the "ding" sound continues to happen each time I get a new email. If someone could please tell me what I might be missing, or if this is a bug I would really aprpeciate it.

Thank you. Seems kind of crazy that you have to turn the sound off - twice. I'm a longtime Apple fanboy, but I'm pretty fed up with how counterintuitive the software's become in the last few years. This kind of thing is just nutty, and iTunes and the latest desktop OSs are just ridiculous messes. Sad.
