Q: How do I buy a Book in iBook with a ITunes Gift Card?

Hello,

 

 

How do I buy a Book in iBook with a iTunes Gift card? Last week I connected (Redeemed) My iTunes Gift Card and bought a Book but it instead charged it to My Personal Bank Account.

    It should have charged the store credit. Contact iTunes Support to resolve this: http://apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html. I'm assuming you bought the book for yourself?

    This raises a issue that I just learned today:  You can't gift books with store credit.  From time to time I'll pick up iTunes gift cards when they're on sale and had a tidy sum of store credit when I redeemed them.  I then thought I'd gift a book to a friend for a Christmas present.  When i bought the book, my store credit didn't change and when I looked on my credit card transaction log, I discovered I had been charged.  When I contacted Apple, I then learned that since it was a gift, I couldn't use my store credit.  Seems kinda weird, but now I know why it happened.
