CD-R disc will not eject

I inserted a partially-recorded CD-R disc. I thought it was blank, but there was one session recorded. The disc does not show on the desk-top, and will not eject using Toast or the disc utility. It also does not eject on boot-up. Disc utility shows the disc name faded out. Is there any other way to eject the disc.
