iAd Producer not responding

I'm trying to run iAd Producer and all I experience is 'hanging'.
I'm running the necessary specs.
Sometimes I get to the template chooser but then I experience the spinning ball which leads me to Force-Quit, that tells me that iAd Producer is not responding, hence this posting.

Can anyone offer me a morsel of hope, please?

We can't help you without the usual "debugging" information:

type of Mac, e.g., 2014 MacBook Pro
amount of RAM installed
OS version, e.g. 10.9.4
version of iAd Producer (latest is "4.2 (4514)")
has iAd Producer worked before?
is the behavior different if you hold down "option" during launch?
