Is this youtube movie possible in Final Cut Pro X?

A friend has asked me if I can do a promo movie for his company.
He's sent me the following youtube movie as an example of the type of thing he's after:

Is this all possible in Final Cut Pro X, or do I need other software like Motion to create some of the effects.

I'm a relative beginner to using FCPX so would trying to replicate something like in this movie be a tall order for someone of my experience?

TThe opening titles require something like Motion. You need a graphics application like Photoshop or Pixetmator and you need a well shot green screen. I just watched the beginning of the video.

Thanks Tom. The green screen would be for the animation behind him, right..?

wot animation??? 😉

I don't see any movin' content.-

The bg could be a huge print-out from some booh at an trade fair... Which would make recording a ton easier.

And, when you consider green-screening, I would make my life easier and do NOT wear a white shirt = needs some very smart lightning of the scene to avoid green-spill...

Last nagging: for a commercial video, I would ask/demand a much better audio - the example is obviously done with the cams built-in mic = too far away from subject = too much 'room', asks for a 'dry' sound, compare with any Apple promo....

Aside the title animation, you could accomplish that example with iMovie... Very little movie-magic in there... 😁

Great feedback Karen - thank you.

Actually the audio side I'm a lot more clued up on so I could definitely offer him something better in that department..

Congratulations Karen . . . the operation appears to have been successful or did you just walk into a circular saw? 😮

<high pitched voice> .. it hurt just in the beginning, meanwhile, I get used to it.. 😝

LOL!

'Karsten' is a rare name, even here in Germany....

And from its roots it's 'Christian'... perhaps I should nic myself 'Chris'?? 😎

Whilst FCP X has not got precisely that title animation, it does have numerous others, arguably better than the example you give.

It might be worth working your way through all the examples as I'm sure that you and your friend will find something to your liking.

I've frequently found that a better and simpler alternative to a pre-conceived effect can be found with a little lateral thinking.

"nic" or "nick" could be an unfortunate choice of word under the circumstances.😢

Don't apologise to him . . . we've had our suspicions for a long time.

Back on topic, you might also want to look at some of the ready-made titles in iMovie.
