Is would like to remote control Keynote on a MacBook Pro with my iPhone 4S. Is there a reason I cannot?

My iPhone says that it is paired with the MBP. When I tap on Keynote Remote, it says it is "looking for __________" Then it says to make sure Keynote is oen on _________ and are on same WiFi network. The answer to both is yes it is open and on the same WiFi network.

Any ideas why this occurs?

iPhone 4S, iOS 7.1.2, MacBook Pro OSX 10.9.1

alex_h1,

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, this does not do the trick. I am still getting the same thing. Remotes is enabled. They are both on the same (enterprise) network. I have also tried using a personal hotspot with same results. Apps are all updated.

When I attempt to connect from the iOS, it looks for the laptop a bit, I get an exclamation point in a red circle. The message, "Make sure Keynote is open on _________ and that your devices are on same WiFi network." comes up again (they are both on the same network). However, when I tap on "devices" it has my laptop listed and checked as it is connected.

So I am at a loss. I would welcome other things to try.
