Q: Duplicating a music CD using Disc Utility

Now I know that i can get iTunes to import a CD and then burn a copy from iTunes.

I want to bypass iTunes. How do iuse Disk Utilities to duplicate a CD?

I also have some CD's that have data that is not music that i would like to duplicate.

Assuming they are not copy protected, the following also applies to CDs:

To create an image file, launch Disk Utility and select File: New: Disk Image From Folder. In the window that appears, navigate to the desired folder and then click on Image. Give the image file a name, and click on Save when prompted. That’s it.

Or, if you have Roxio Toast, just use the copy function.
