Does the Magic Mouse track pad function work with OSX 10.5.8? Or do I need updated software to use all of the functions?

Okay, how do I get the wireless mouse software 1.0, because I've connected my magic mouse wirelessly, but I'm not able to use the "trackpad" functions using it.
