Mac Pro Early 2008 8 Core keeps restarting randomly. New motherboard?

So I've been seeing quite a few posts saying the Mac Pro of 2008-2009 starting to restart itself. I believe it's the motherboard giving out finally after years of service.

I triple checked to make sure it wasn't the RAM. Purchased a new PSU for my Mac Pro 3 months ago. Cooling my system at 2000rpm fan speed.

As for operating system, I use Windows 7. I triple checked everything to make sure it wasn't the OS.

So, does anyone know if Genius help desk would re-install a motherboard for the old Mac Pro?

Any idea how much it's going to cost me?

Mac Pro, Windows 7

Hi digiegg,

If you are having intermittent but persistent issues with random quitting on an older Mac Pro, you may find the troubleshooting steps outlined in the following articles helpful. In particular, you may want to run Apple Hardware Test in Looping mode (overnight if possible) to see if you can duplicate and capture the error.

OS X: When your computer spontaneously restarts or displays "Your computer restarted because of a problem."

Using Apple Hardware Test

Mac notebooks: Apple Hardware Test may report "HDD" alert
