Facebook links redirect to ****

Using the Facebook app on my iPad 2, in the last couple of months when I click on a link in a friend's post, I am most times redirected to ****, or linkbucks or http://18tdn.com or a site to purchase apps.

I've deleted and reinstalled the Facebook app a couple of times. It still goes to **** sites - mobil ****, mobile **** videos... and http:www.trafficserving.com/mobile.

I have deleted the Facebook app and will keep it off until I can find a solution to the redirection problem. I don't need or want that kind of filth in my life.

Can anyone help? Thank you!

I logged in to my Facebook account using Safari - hit the same link for the recipe and there was the p.o.r.n again. Other people said the link was fine for them.

Apple and Facebook have been no help with this issue. If I am on Facebook on the iPad in the future I will not be clicking on any links or any shares...

If it's one or only a few websites in Facebook that are causing the problem report the sites to Facebook and don't use those links. Stay away from them as they are either spam or they have been hacked.

I have tried to contact Facebook but none of their preset categories fits what I'm trying to report. I haven't found any place to report the sites or anything! I am so frustrated with Facebook..... I try to report the nudity and they say you are logged in - you log out and they say you can't use that form... What a stupid mess.

Did you also turn on Limit Ad Tracking? Did you quit and restart the Facebook app since then? Double tap the home button, and swipe upward on the screen showing the Facebook app. Then relaunch it from your home screen.

I'm giving up Facebook via my iPad altogether - via the app (which is now gone) and Safari.

I get P.O.R.N both ways and decided that I don't want to take the chance to get any more of that crap.

Guess I'll have more time in my day with it off the iPad.

It's near the bottom of the About menu.

I don't have an iOS 7 iPad in front of me right now but I'm pretty sure it's in the same place.

Log into FaceBook using Safari rather than the Facebook app - there are problems

with the app that FaceBook does not care to correct. The redirection you are experiencing

is one of the problems.

I'm not sure if this will help or not, but try going to Settings > General > About > Advertising, and reset the advertising identifier.

Just checked and in iOS 7, it was moved under the Privacy menu. So try going to Settings > Privacy > Advertising and reset the advertising identifier.

Just did that and got MORE P.O.R.N..... and appfly.mobi - thanks for your help but it seems to be a losing battle with all this crap...

Just a bit of friendly advice...dump the Facebook App like a hot potato. I tried everything to get that stupid app smooth with no luck. On Safari it works fine.

I did turn on Limit Ad Tracking... I've decided to forget Facebook completely on my iPad and just use it via the PC. Guess I'll save a lot of time in my day too!

Hi, did you find a solution by any chance? I have been having the same problem and any link i click, redirects me to some other link which opens or tries to open App Store. It's really annoying..
