Jul 31, 2014 2:04 PM in response to Lemosapienby Antonio Rocco,Whatever capacity RAID you have and if you intend to use Time Machine for your backup solution you will need a backup drive that is approximately twice the size for best results. However don't just stop with one drive for backup, use two for redundancy. Take it one stage further and use RAIDs instead of single drives and preferably removable so you can store them off site.
The main criteria for a successful back up strategy is to answer one key question: "How valuable is my/our data?" If it's that valuable you or your company can't function without it then don't skimp on budget and redundancy. In other words plan for the worst case scenario and then double it. My 2p.
