Problem downloading adobe software

Hello.

I am having trouble installing adobe flash player and adobe reader. When i download them they appear in my downloads folder and when i try to install them i get an error where it sits at 0% connecting to adobe server which sits for about 5 minutes without moving the progress bar and then it says an error message which is shown in the screen shot here: Error has been encountered. Close this window and try downloading again. I have cleaned safari cookies and reset all website data and also tried to use 2 web browsers (safari and chrome) and the issue exists for both software (reader and flash) on both web browsers.
