Aug 1, 2014 8:45 AM in response to AmishCakeby Jay70_uk,the do not disturb is off and there is no moon icon at the top of the screen. In the do not disturb setting there is a 'silence' choice - Always or When iPhone is locked. There is a check mark on the While iPhone is locked and I can't get rid of it.
Any suggestions?

Aug 1, 2014 9:02 AM in response to Jay70_ukby Kilgore-Trout,If DND is OFF, the selection of Always or Only while iPhone is locked it irrelevant.
Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
