Cannot access Mac OS Partition from windows 8 running in boot camp

So I installed Windows 8.1 Pro through Boot Camp but I can't access the Mac OS partition from windows even though boot camp partition shows up while I'm on Mac OS. I have installed all the drivers from apple but still it didn't work. Then I downloaded Paragon HFS+ which was free for windows 8 and 8.1 thinking that this would solve my problem. The instructions told me to change the drive letter for mac partition from disk management by right clicking the drive pressing "change drive letter and path" button. But the "change drive letter and path" key in grey color and I can't press it. Can somebody please help?User uploaded file

Paragon software can interfere with the setup. If you can uninstall it and do this to make sure it works. You install it later, after you talk to Paragon Tech Support on your issue.

If your Bootcamp works, but you cannot access the OSX partition in the Control Panel -> Bootcamp, it may be an easier fix than what others have.

The Bootcamp side looks at the MBR to decide if it can show you the OSX side or not. In your MBR, the code for OSX is incorrect.

In OSX terminal (you will get a warning for i386 boot that can be safely ignored)...

sudo fdisk -e /dev/disk0

setpid 2

AF

w

p

y

Please post the output of the sequence commands, to ensure there are no other errors. If there are any other errors, stop and post the screen shot here. Please remove any personal information as you see fit.

Reboot and hold the ALT key and choose OSX. Make sure it works. Switch to BOOTCAMP via System Preferences -> Startup Disk.

In BOOTCAMP, Control Panel -> Bootcamp and verify that you can see OSX and then select and Restart and verify that you can get back to OSX.

This is my working dual boot (OSX and BOOTCAMP via CSM-BIOS - not EFI). If you notice the second entry has 'AF' as id, not 'AC' the way you have it.

sudo fdisk /dev/disk0

I did the above steps and got this in terminal:

User uploaded file

i can see "BOOTCAMP windows" and "Macintosh HD" in 'boot camp control panel' in windows and also in 'startup disk' in mac. i can access windows files from mac. I removed paragon from both windows and mac os.

But this did not fix the problem. I cannot assign a drive letter to mac partition in "disk management" on windows. Moreover windows doesn't still load the 'file system' details of the mac volumes.
