Q: my scanned pics cannot be found

I have scanned numerous pictures and saved on the desktop, and in iPhoto. When I look on the desktop and in iPhoto they are not there. Where covuld they have gone?

iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2012), OS X Mavericks (10.9.4)

Image Capture is in your Applciatons folder.

Check your Pictures folder from your Finder.

If you are using Image Capture to scan photos, launch Image Capture.

At the bottom of the window click the: Import To pop up menu.

Make sure it's setup to save the photos to the correct folder or app.

I go into Utilities and click on Print/Scan to scan my pictures. Where is Image Capture? Thank you for answering.
