What do I replace my VX2000 with?

For a long time, I've been borrowing a Sony VX2000 from work that nobody needed, and using it at home as both a cam for ichat and a way to watch video on my monitor from Final Cut Pro. But now work finally wants it back... sigh...

Any thoughts on what would be a good replacement for it? Obviously, for what I was using it for, the 2000 was way overkill.

What I liked about it:
1) Great picture for ichat, especially in low light.
2) In a pinch, I could shoot a shot that we somehow missed in production; for web based delivery mostly, but once or twice for DVDs. Always inserts.
3) Firewire input, with s-video and audio outs for my monitor.

Can anyone point me towards a camera that would be more appropriate for these needs than something as expensive as the 2000?

Thanks!!!!
