Q: WiFi access denied. "connection timeout occurred."

iMac Lion 10.7.5  Processor 3.4GHz Intel Core 17.  Memory 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3.  Time Warner just installed uprgraded network.  Several other devices have access (tv, pc, iPhones) but iMac shows network present but rejects password as "invalid"  Repeated attempts give "Could not join [network]  A connection timeout occurred"  In network "advanced" I deleted network then added it back with WPA2 Personal security and password.  Attempts to join network, first saypwd "invalid" then the "connection timeout occurred."
