Where do I find photos in Finder that I uploaded in an event to iPhoto?

Macbook Pro, OS X 10.9.4

Processor 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7

Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

I downloaded photos from my camera to my Mac and they appear in an event. But now I want to upload some of the pictures to Capsule. When I go to upload the photos, it opens Finder, not iPhoto and I can't find those pictures in Finder. I don't know what they are under. Hope someone can explain this.
