Thank you all for trying to help! Sorry if I seamed short in my reply! All I wanted to do was remove the sim from one phone and move it to the other! But my iPhone does not have an external port for SIM card addition or removal! All our other phones you insert the pin, pull out tray, swap out cards and you were ready to go! Only one of our phones came with out the spot for the sim! I think I will get home and remove back cover and look for SIM card! If I find it I'll switch it over if not I'll take it in to apple!

thank you all for your help!

II'm using it with Verizon! I just want to upgraded to iPhone 5! It came from Verizon along with the other phone? Do I need to open the back to gain access or take it to apple or Verizon?

Repeat after me: THERE IS NO SIM CARD IN A VERIZON iPHONE 4. THERE IS NO SIM CARD IN A VERIZON IPHONE 4.

There is no SIM card accessible from outside the phone, and there is no SIM card hidden in the phone. It is a CDMA phone, and CDMA in the US has never used a SIM card in any phone (not just iPhones) ever made for a CDMA network. Instead the hardware MEID of the phone is used to activate it, and you must call Verizon to activate a new phone.

The iPhone 4S and 5 series Verizon phones DO have SIM cards, but they are only for LTE. When the phone falls back to CDMA it still uses the hardware MEID of the phone. So even with later models you must still call Verizon to activate the phone.

The Verizon iPhone 4S only uses the SIM for international roaming. It's a 3G phone. 🙂

Verizon 4G phones can be activated just by switching the SIM card as long as the SIM is the same size.
