You might also consider that a lot of what people consider "hacking" is simply gathering personal information that people made public without considering the consequences. Doing things like posting your number in a public forum increase your vulnerability. That's why the Hosts removed it.

I asked for help on Facebook, but things are even worse now!
How are these people hacking my account? I can't figure it out!!!
