Go to icloud.com using a pc, tap on all device and check if the ipad is still ther under find my iphone. If it is delete it in your account. Once done, ask them to turn off the ipad and on again after at least a minute

Aug 3, 2014 6:57 AM in response to Csound1by LHall,I just checked under "find my iPhone" at iCloud.com and their iPad doesn't show up.
My only problem with following Leonies advice is that they can't sign in to anything, update anything at all. They are completely unable to use their iPad at all. They've tried shutting it down and rebooting, but it still locks on that one page when it comes on after they slide the "on" slider.
