Hello, which way are you trying to Screen Share?
with screen-sharing in the system settings
i enter the ip from the imac g5 to the mac mini and the mac mini can not be connect to the other computer
Are all but the last numbers of the IPs on both the same?
Like 192.164.1.3 & 192.168.1.4 ?
Did you setup Screen Sharing on the G5 in Sharing Prefs?
no they are not the same numbers
yes the setup in sharing prefs is activated on the imac g5
What are the two IPs please?
192.168.1.61 & 192.168.1.51
So, if you in Finder>Go menu>Connect to Server & put the IP of the G5 in, like...
vnc://192.168.1.61
What exactly happens?
its just loading and can not connect to the computer
In Sys Prefs>Sharing on the G5, try checking Remote Apple Events & Remote Management, & in this last one Computer Settings.
there are all activated but it still works not
Did you set a password for others to control the screen?
Does File Sharing or Web Sharing work?
yes i set a password
file sharing and websharing doesn't work
Well, there's a problem neither of us are seeing... I'm mulling it, but here I have no problem with iMac running 10.6 through 10.9 doing ALL sharing either way to an eMac running 10.4.11 or 10.5.8
Can you connect the other way?
yes it goes (from imac g5 to mac mini)
but i must connect from mac mini to imac g5
