I cannot say whether the JetDrive Lite 360 work on a late 2011 MacBook Pro (I suspect it will), but I can tell you that the JetDrive Lite 130 works great on an early 2011 15-inch MacBook Pro, and it fits flush. The same is true for a mid-2012 15-inch MacBook Pro. Both MBPs immediately recognized the drive, which comes pre-formatted as ExFat. Unless the late 2011 is significantly different from the early-2011 and mid-2012, it should work for you too.

Before ordering I measured a PNY SDHC card then popped it in my MBP's slot to see how much it stuck out. I then chose the JetDrive that seemed like it would leave me with the least amount of card sticking out. While it is marketed as being for the MacBook Air, as you can see by the picture, the JetDrive Lite 130 fits the bill perfectly.

The JetDrive Lite 360 is actually a bit narrower than the 130, and a bit longer, so it would stick out more.
