Apple TV and MacBook, iPad, iPhone no longer connect

I've had this same Apple TV and MacBook Pro for a couple of years. My iPad and 2 iPhones used to connect without issue. They used to connect and work together just FINE. Now, after Apple software updates, they no longer connect. My iPhones and iPad connect and then they drop the connection after about 20 - 30 seconds. I am not able to select Apple TV for my output device anymore. This is a third generation Apple TV and an early 2011 MacBook Pro. The Apple TV is directly connected to my router. All of the other devices work without issue via wifi. Like I said, ALL of these items used to connect by just selecting the AirPlay icon on the device. Suggestion, please.
